Breaking with decades of U.S. neutrality on the issue, President Trump said Saturday that it would be “fantastic” if Ireland unified. The U.S. brokered and has long supported the 1998 Belfast Agreement, also known as the Good Friday Agreement, which brought a fragile peace that ended about three decades of violence.
