Gone are the days when models had to dress like a blank canvas—today’s crop of runway faces is embracing their personal style and expressing their individuality through their fashion choices—be it jeans and a tee or a statement dress. Every month, Vogue will dive into the stylish wardrobes of a model of the moment to see what they’re wearing off the catwalk. Consider these the perfect references to pin to your seasonal mood board—because is there anything cooler than model-off-duty style?
This month, meet Emaan Zishan, a 21-year-old Pakistani-Canadian model based in Calgary. She is currently signed with Mode Models (her mother agency) and Ford Models in New York City and Barcelona.
After making her runway debut in the Prada spring 2026 show—not bad for a starter gig!—it hasn’t taken long for Zishan to become a Fashion Month fixture: She has since walked for top labels such as Chanel, Hermès, Fendi, and Christian Dior—and you’re bound to see her walking in even more collections this spring 2027 season, too.
But when Zishan is not booked-and-busy on the catwalks, her off-duty wardrobe tells a whole different story. The model describes her personal style as “casual and comfortable,” revolving around a heavy dose of comfy Converse kicks and cool graphic tees. But she’s not opposed to dressing up either, whether she’s rocking romantic corset tops or beaded evening frocks. Call her closet completely chameleon-like—much like the art of modeling.

What’s your modeling discovery story?
I applied online to my mother agency. My mom encouraged me to—she said there’s no harm in trying and there’s nothing to lose, so why not? So, I did.

Do you have any stories from living in a model apartment?
In my first season, I was sharing a room with two other girls. It was one of their birthdays, so we all went out to see the Eiffel Tower, which at the time was pink.
What was your first runway show?
My first runway show was Prada, last year in September. I wore a pink coat with green gloves, a brown top, and yellow shorts.
