1. Apply a thin layer of foundation to your face
A lightweight liquid foundation that closely matches your natural skin color is a good way to tone down the pink or red patches on your face or neck. Be judicious when applying the makeup, though. A thick coat of foundation will just draw more attention to the plaques.
Aim for applying an even, thin layer of foundation, following with a dab of concealer if you think it’s necessary. Note: makeup is usually considered safe for psoriasis, but if you have an open lesion, skip the makeup and just keep it clean.
Read the label on any product before using it, to make sure it doesn’t contain any ingredients that might further irritate your skin. A tinted face moisturizer might be a quick way to even out your skin tone while also keeping your skin hydrated and protected.
