Award show season is in full swing, and the music industry’s Super Bowl—also known as the 2025 Grammy Awards—was held at Los Angeles’s (perennially amusing) Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, February 2 with comedian Trevor Noah hosting and artists including Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter and St. Vincent performing.
The show’s initial mood was appropriately somber given the devastating wildfires that only recently reached containment across L.A., with Noah’s opening monologue focusing largely on the effect of the fires on the city and the show’s commercials devoted to impacted L.A. businesses fighting to rebuild; still, a live performance from the band Dawes (whose members both lost their homes to Altadena’s Eaton fire) made space for energy and joy within a ceremony that could easily feel off-color given how many Angelenos are still dealing with fire fallout.
Despite the context, there was no shortage of lighthearted fare at this year’s Grammys (Billie’s bob! Gaga’s Goth moment! Taylor’s potentially Travis-referencing thigh chain!), as well as plenty of opportunity to celebrate the best part of all award shows: frantically dissecting every moment of the broadcast on social media. Below, find the very best social media reactions from the 2025 Grammys:
