If you thought being an Olympic-level gymnast was hard, try doing it without breaking a nail. “It makes me think of the right technique,” two-time Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles recently told The Run-Through, showing off a glittering red, white, and blue manicure, “’cause, I’m not trying to fall or break a nail or any of that, because my nails are too precious and too good-looking to be breaking.”
Seated next to a bouquet sent to her by Megan Thee Stallion, Jordan gave her own heroes their proverbial flowers. Icons like Flo-Jo, Serena Williams, and Beyoncé taught her to embrace her individuality and bring her personal style to the mat. She has even debuted two custom-designed leotards inspired by Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour. “This is who I am,” Jordan explained. “That’s where I got the motto, ‘I’m that girl.’”
Music has always played an important role in her life. Both Jordan and her father have the ability to pick up and play just about any instrument, and she takes her competition playlists very seriously: You may recall the infectious ’90s hip-hop mix that backed her now viral 2023 floor routine, which landed her a perfect 10. From her athletic prowess to her style and taste in music, Jordan truly is that girl.
