What a night for Gigi Hadid! The poster girl for Vogue World: Paris closed out the Place Vendôme fashion spectacular—which saw her trot around the perimeter with horsey pal Kendall Jenner—then hot-footed it to host the after-party with Edward Enninful.
Set in art nouveau institute Maxim’s de Paris, DJ Ruckus and Hale Zero kept guests—including Naomi Campbell, who had her sunglasses firmly on and her song requests firmly heard—on the dancefloor, but it was Hadid’s look that sparked conversations all night long.
The American model wore a Balmain Resort 2025 dress that was a fun follow-on from the custom finale gown designer Olivier Rousteing created for his friend. While Hadid’s bespoke look paid homage to the French Revolution and the strength and light of Rousteing’s home country, her after-party mini delivered pure Balmain sass. Indeed, the electric-blue sequined piece, featuring the female anatomy etched on in iridescent paillettes, had the same spray-on quality as the “sands of time” dress Tyla wore to the Met Gala 2024.
Conceived in partnership with ornamental artwork creator Flory Brisset—who Rousteing calls upon to find solutions to his seemingly impossible ideas—the internet-breaking Met look comprised grains from the Seychelles and the Sahara, combined with mirror powder, “to play with light and shadow and visually accentuate the shape of Tyla’s body like a painting.” Hadid’s Vogue World: Paris after-party look—which also called to mind Jean Paul Gaultier’s famous trompe l’oeil dresses—brought that painterly quality bang up-to-date for a night partying with the chic cross-section of fashion and sport (hi: Venus and Serena hobnobbing with Cara and Karlie!)
