One of the best back-to-school deals of the season just dropped.
The ninth generation Apple iPad with 64GB of storage is back down to its all-time low price of $249.99 at Amazon with a $20 off coupon automatically applied at checkout. Even at its full price of $329, this iPad is by far the most affordable (and practical) Apple tablet for most students (and people in general). As of Aug. 14, you’ll only be able to grab it at this price in space gray — the silver version is sold out. The next closest price you’ll find it at is for $269.99 at Best Buy.
As the 2021 model, this iPad is a couple of years old, but it’s still an incredibly functional tablet for most people, especially if you don’t expect yourself to do a lot of intensive tasks like photo editing, art, or gaming. The A13 chip it comes packed with will give you more than enough power to stream videos and shows, take notes, keep a virtual planner, and so on.
This tablet does look more dated than the latest entry-level iPad, but at this sale price, it’s also $200 cheaper than the 2022 iPad’s $449 list price (at the time of writing, the 2022 iPad is on sale for $399.99). Though you won’t get the sleekest, thin-bezel look with the 2021 iPad, you’ll still get a 10.2-inch Retina display. Plus, both iPads still use the first generation Apple Pencil.
The last time we saw this iPad at its lowest price ever was in the few weeks leading up to, and the couple weeks following, Prime Day. Sure, that wasn’t too long ago, but if you missed this deal the first time, you won’t want to miss it again.
