Taking place in Düsseldorf, Germany, and hosted by celeb power couple Rita Ora and Taika Waititi, the MTV European Music Awards will celebrate some of the world’s biggest hitmakers, with Harry Styles, Lizzo, Adele, Nicki Minaj, Jack Harlow, and many more up for nominations.
It’s been five years since Ora made her EMA hosting debut at the 2017 ceremony in London. This time around, she will be joined by actor and director Taika Waititi.
The couple will be hosting a star-studded night at the PSD Bank Dome, with performances from Ava Max, Bebe Rexha, David Guetta, Gorillaz, Lewis Capaldi and Muse.
As well as celebrating the world’s biggest stars, the ceremony will shine a light on Three inspiring Ukrainian women: Lina Deshvar, Anna Kutova and Anfisa Yakovina. The activists will be honoured with the MTV EMA Generation Change Award for their efforts in fighting for those impacted by the humanitarian crisis in their native Ukraine.
Awards aside, the EMAs are famous for their memorable red carpet moments. From Miley Cyrus’ high-cut white leotard in 2013 to Rita Ora’s white bathrobe and towel in 2017, the celebs seem to let loose when it comes to these awards.
