It was a meeting of the summer of sport’s two most ardent acolytes yesterday at the World Cup 2026 semi-final game between France and Spain: Timothée Chalamet and David Beckham.
The two were spotted interacting in the VIP section during the second half of the match, which took place in Arlington, Texas, in markedly different looks.
Timothée Chalamet, who has established a penchant for outré themed courtside outfits to cheer on his beloved New York Knicks, transferred his spirit to root for his other team France. The Marty Supreme actor wore a sporty tracksuit with the team emblem and blue, white, and red panelling, plus a pair of oval sunglasses and silver sneakers. Rather than a custom Chrome Hearts leather suit, this time, te look seemed like a real retro deal. His hair, growing out curly and CMBYN-coded for summer, added to the ’80s sports star vibe. Chalamet was also accompanied by his father, Marc Chalamet, who is originally from Nîmes, France.
David Beckham, on the other hand, opted for a suave navy Hugo Boss suit with a sky blue skirt sans tie—a look he’s ardently stuck to despite the heat. Victoria, beside him, wore a simple cream tank top and gray plaid linen pants that folded over at the waist—a quiet continuation of her refined, post-WAG style.
