Pokémon G-SHOCK: How to pre-order the new Pokémon watch

Pokémon fans are some of the luckiest when it comes to fun merch, collectibles, and all-ages toys. Earlier this year, we got the first ever Pokémon Lego sets, and in celebration of the little studs turning 30, we have the Pokémon G-SHOCK watch from Casio.

Unlike some themed merch, G-SHOCK went with an excellent but subdued look with the new watch. That’s pretty awesome if you’re hoping for a fun watch that’s also suitable to wear to work. Here’s everything we know about the new collab that celebrates Pokémon’s 30th birthday.

Features of the new Pokémon G-SHOCK GA110PKM

Let’s start with the looks of the Pokémon G-SHOCK. In terms of celebrating the franchise, the watch has a handful of excellent details. There’s the Poké Ball inspired inset dial sitting at 9 p.m. with a Pikachu indicator hand, engraving on the back of the watch face, and Pokémon adorned on the watch band.

As if we needed things to get even better, the watch comes in its own packing shaped like a Poké Ball that’s well worth displaying on its own, and the outer box features all 30 Pokémon.

If you’re interested in some technical information, G-SHOCK made this edition with the same quality and attention to detail we’ve come to rely on from the brand. It’s both shock resistant and magnetic resistant. It’s also safe to take in water up to 200 meters deep. Casio says expected battery life is about two years, and it uses a CR1220. In total, it comes in at a lightweight 72 grams.

How to pre-order the Pokémon G-SHOCK GA110PKM

Starting on Wednesday, July 1, you can pre-order the new Pokémon watch from Casio for $270. If you can’t wait that long and you live in New York, you can snag the watch from the G-SHOCK SOHO flagship store. Casio also says the watch will be available at select jewelers.

Casio’s press release doesn’t indicate whether this is a limited edition watch. But given the brand’s popularity and the fandom behind Pokémon, we wouldn’t be surprised if stock sells out quickly. Be sure to set yourself an alarm for Wednesday if you’re hoping to wear one of the best Pokémon collabs to ever drop.
