Senate Rebukes Trump in Vote to Check His War Powers in Iran

Four Senate Republicans sided with Democrats in a 50-to-48 vote calling for President Trump to end the war in Iran or seek congressional authorization to continue it. The House passed the same measure a few weeks earlier.

“On this motion, the yeas are 50, the nays are 48. The concurrent motion is agreed to.” “Trump promised to put maximum pressure on Iran, but he ended up delivering maximum confusion, maximum chaos, maximum cost to the American people with his disastrous war.
