What’s Hanging Off Lorde’s Belt in the TikTok Teasing Her New Music? Here’s Every Item We Can Identify

It’s a great day to be gay and alive (or, I guess, straight and a really big fan of pop hits), because we’ve just been handed manna from heaven: a 15-second sample of what appears to be brand-new music from Lorde on TikTok, layered over footage of a spritely little walk she took in New York. Watch it below:

There’s plenty to celebrate here (the song! The low-slung jeans and white button-down! The cobblestoned streets of New York that I hated biking over when I lived there, yet miss constantly now that I live in LA!), but the detail I’ve locked in on is, naturally, the most random one of all: Lorde’s quirked-out, load-bearing little chain belt, which is hauling enough items to make me wonder if the singer moonlights as a custodian. Let’s zoom in, shall we?

Obviously, this isn’t the highest-resolution photo in history, and I unfortunately don’t have access to that Law & Order: Special Victims Unit facial-recognition technology that allows them to zoom in on a blurry group shot and instantly spot the perv they’re looking for. So, I’ll simply have to do the service journalism of trying to identify everything on Lorde’s chain belt for Vogue’s army of loyal readers. Find all my guesses below:

1. Headphones—and not AirPods! Lorde is clearly a wired It girl, and we love her for it.
2. A…phone charger? Or is that part of the headphones? I can’t tell where they end, but there are definitely multiple cords.
3. One of those little fish-shaped pens (that could also be a bottle opener, I guess?)
4. A little square-shaped orange keychain advertising some establishment whose provenance I sadly cannot deduce, but I’m choosing to believe it’s a vintage Nike Air Jordan promotional one.
5. A large, gorgeous silvery shell, to which I give my highest compliments as a habitual beach-shell collector who has been forced to throw out most of my bounty over the years because “they smell.” (I’m sure Lorde’s shell smells like daisies, though!)
6. A…tissue? There’s deifnitely something white and blobby next to the shell, but I can’t quite make out what it is.
7. All of my hopes and dreams. We love you, Lorde, our immaculately and practically accessorized Scorpio princess!
